About the painting

"When we dream there are no borders or limits, there is barely a concept of you and me, there is levity and mystery. When we dream we communicate in symbols, our breath whispers of lullabies and nonsense, our eyelids heavy with the weight of our hopes and fears."

"When we dream we are dancers, fliers, giants, explorers, warriors. When we dream there are boundless possibilities. When we dream, we are together…"

About the artist

Autumn Skye Morrison

Canadian visionary artist working in mixed media and acrylic. Born in Nova Scotia and raised between the Rocky Mountains and the coastal rainforests of the West Coast, Skye has been a self-taught painter since childhood. Her style — refined realism layered with archetypal imagery, sacred geometry, and subtle symbolism — has been described as visionary magic realism, and her work explores themes of consciousness, nature, transformation, and the spirit at the heart of all life. She exhibits and teaches internationally, and otherwise lives and paints in the temperate rainforest of British Columbia's Sunshine Coast.
