Who we are
Alternity (alternity.ca) is operated by Alternative Thinking Inc., a Canadian corporation, from our home at 333 Bloor St W, Toronto, Ontario. By using this site or placing an order, you agree to the terms below.
Using this site
- You must be the age of majority in your province or territory to place an order, or have a guardian’s permission
- Use the site lawfully and kindly — no attempts to interfere with it, misuse it, or harvest its content or data
- We may decline or cancel an order where we reasonably need to — for example, suspected fraud or an error — and we’ll refund anything already paid on it
Accuracy of information
We work to keep product details, pricing, and availability accurate, but occasional errors happen. If an error affects your order — a wrong price, an item we can’t supply — we’ll contact you before proceeding, and refund anything we can’t honour. Colours and textures may render differently on different screens; natural and handmade pieces vary by nature.
Orders, pricing & payment
- All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD)
- Payment is processed at checkout through Shopify’s secure payment system; the available payment methods are shown there
- We never see or store your full payment card details — payments are handled by our payment providers
- One discount code may be applied per order; promotions may be withdrawn or extended at our discretion

Wellness disclaimer
- Our products and the information on this site are shared for educational, cultural, and traditional-use purposes — they are not medical advice
- Statements about herbs, foods, and wellness tools reflect traditional use and cultural association; they have not been evaluated by Health Canada, and our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition
- Please consult a qualified healthcare practitioner before beginning any new wellness practice — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking medication, or living with a health condition
Our promises & their limits
- We stand behind our curation, and our Returns & Exchanges policy is how we make things right when a piece isn’t
- Beyond that, the site and its content are provided as they are; to the fullest extent the law permits, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it
- Nothing in these terms limits the rights you hold under Ontario consumer protection law or other applicable Canadian law
Reviews & submissions
We love hearing from you. By posting a review or sending us content, you allow us to use it in connection with the Hub and our channels. Keep it honest, lawful, and respectful of others — we may remove content that isn’t.

- We don’t sell or share your personal information for marketing by others
- Our newsletter is by consent only, and every email includes an unsubscribe link
