In ritual tradition
An athame is a ritual blade used to direct intention rather than to cut — traditionally drawn through the air to cast a circle or focus a working. Selenite takes its name from the Greek selene, "moon," and is long-valued in crystal tradition for clearing.
Care
Selenite is water-soluble — never rinse it under the tap or leave it in a salt bath. Cleanse with sound, smoke, or moonlight. It is a soft stone; handle gently and store where it won't be knocked.
Each piece is carved by hand from natural stone — colour, veining, and form vary slightly from the photograph.
