About the stone
Tigers eye is a chatoyant variety of quartz — a stone whose silky parallel fibres reflect light to create the shifting golden 'eye' that gives it its name. The fibres are pseudomorphs, originally crocidolite (a form of asbestos) that has been replaced by silica over geological time, preserving the fibrous structure while becoming inert quartz. South Africa is the largest source.
In crystal tradition
In crystal tradition, golden tigers eye is associated with the solar plexus and is long-valued as a stone of confidence, courage, and grounded action. The generator point form directs the stone's qualities upward — often used as the central stone in crystal grids or as a meditation focal point during projects requiring follow-through.
Each piece is one of a kind. Natural variations in colour, shape, size, and pattern are part of what makes the stone what it is — the photograph shows a representative example, your piece will look slightly different.
