About the stone
Chrysocolla and malachite are both copper-based minerals that often form together in copper-rich deposits — the turquoise-blue chrysocolla and bright green malachite intergrowing in single specimens. Chrysocolla itself is a hydrated copper silicate, used as both an ornamental stone and an ore of copper. The combination is sometimes called 'Eilat stone' when found in Israel's Timna Valley, but the same mineral combination occurs in Peru, Congo, and elsewhere.
In crystal tradition
In crystal tradition, chrysocolla is associated with the throat chakra and long-valued as a stone of communication and gentle expression. Combined with malachite (heart chakra), the pairing is sometimes called the 'goddess stone' in crystal practice — feminine, communicative, heart-centered.
Care
Both minerals contain copper compounds. Polished pieces are safe to handle externally. Avoid grinding or sanding. Do not use in elixirs or drinking water. Cleanse with sound or smoke, not extended water exposure.
Each piece is one of a kind. Natural variations in colour, shape, size, and pattern are part of what makes the stone what it is — the photograph shows a representative example, your piece will look slightly different.
