Black Copal Dipped Palo Santo

$6

A palo santo stick — Bursera graveolens, the "holy wood" of South America — hand-dipped in black copal resin for a second layer of aroma over the wood's own sweet, resinous smoke.

Details

  • ~4" palo santo stick (Bursera graveolens)
  • Hand-dipped in black copal resin
  • Sold by individual stick

The scent

Black copal — deep, earthy, and piney, the ceremonial resin of Mesoamerica, laid over the sweet wood.

How to use

Light the tip, let it catch for 30–60 seconds, then blow out the flame so the wood smoulders and releases its smoke. Palo santo self-extinguishes and can be re-lit many times.

Care & safety

Burn in a well-ventilated space. Rest the smouldering stick on a heat-safe surface — shell, ceramic, or stone — to catch ash and embers. Never leave unattended; keep clear of anything flammable.
