About the stone
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz, coloured by trace iron and natural radiation during crystal formation. It forms as both individual points and as the dramatic clusters that line geode cavities. Brazil, Uruguay, and Canada (Thunder Bay) are among the world's best-known sources, each producing slightly different colour signatures.
In crystal tradition
In crystal tradition, amethyst is associated with the third eye and crown chakras, and is long-valued for mental clarity, intuition, and supporting calm. A common stone to keep in the bedroom for restful sleep, or on a desk for focus during decision-making. Often used as a meditation companion or touchstone for quieting an active mind.
Each piece is one of a kind. Natural variations in colour, shape, size, and pattern are part of what makes the stone what it is — the photograph shows a representative example, your piece will look slightly different.
