History

Neroli takes its name from Anne Marie Orsini, Princess of Nerola in 17th-century Italy, who reportedly used it to perfume her gloves and bath. It has been prized in European perfumery ever since and remains one of the costliest natural materials in fine fragrance.

How to use

Pre-diluted to 3% in jojoba — safe to apply directly to skin without further dilution. A beautiful daily face oil for dry or sensitive skin, or a luxurious pulse-point perfume.

Safety

External use only. Even at 3% dilution, patch test inside the elbow before first full application.

Storage

Store sealed in a cool, dark place. Most essential oils keep 1-3 years; citrus oils oxidize faster — best within 12 months.
