History

Jasmine has been cultivated for its scent for thousands of years across India, Persia, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean. Jasmine flowers are picked at night when their aroma is at its peak. It takes thousands of flowers to produce a single ounce of absolute — which is why true jasmine oil is among the most expensive natural materials in perfumery.

How to use

At 10% in jojoba, this can be applied lightly to the skin — but for stronger applications, dilute further. A beautiful pulse-point perfume; a small amount goes far.

Safety

External use only. Even at 10% dilution, patch test before broader application. Use sparingly — the aroma is heady.

Storage

Store sealed in a cool, dark place. Most essential oils keep 1-3 years; citrus oils oxidize faster — best within 12 months.
