Serpent Rising: The Kundalini Compendium (black and white version)

$35

Neven Paar's account of his 2004 spontaneous Kundalini awakening and the seventeen years of integration, study, and practice that followed. Serpent Rising is the synthesis: a 590-page compendium that brings together yoga, ayurveda, Western esotericism, and his own first-person experience.

Paar covers the physiological, psychological, and energetic dimensions of Kundalini in detail — the role of the nervous system, the chakras, the brain, and the heart in the awakening process; meditations he developed to work through energy stagnations; and supporting practices drawn from Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda, crystals, tuning forks, aromatherapy, and the Tattwas. Later sections address common concerns from Kundalini-awakened readers: integration, dietary considerations, lucid dreaming, and what Paar calls peak events in the transfiguration process. Self-published through his own Winged Shoes Publishing, the book is a personal synthesis built around Paar's first-hand experience rather than an academic survey.

About the Author

Neven Paar

Toronto-based author and Kundalini researcher. Born in Sarajevo, Paar came to Canada as a war refugee in 1994 and lived a "seemingly normal" life until 2004, when a spontaneous Kundalini awakening permanently altered his consciousness. He spent the following years studying and practicing within the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, completing the full curriculum and later teaching ceremonial magick and Kundalini integration in Toronto. Serpent Rising is part of a planned series alongside the autobiographical Man of Light trilogy and The Magus: Kundalini and the Golden Dawn.
