Pocket Book of Stones
A portable A-to-Z reference to 390 crystals, gems, and minerals — the condensed version of Simmons's much larger Book of Stones, designed to fit in a bag for the rock shop or the field.
Each entry includes a full-colour photograph, scientific data (mineral group, hardness, where it's found), a quick-look list of keywords, and elemental and chakra correspondences. Simmons then offers a short essay on each stone — its character, how it has traditionally been used in metaphysical practice, and which other stones it pairs well with. The third revised edition expands the original by 47 stones and includes a comprehensive index organized by emotional, spiritual, and physical correspondences. Useful as both an introduction for those new to the field and a reliable shelf reference for longtime collectors.
