Tradition
Both frankincense (Boswellia sacra) and myrrh (Commiphora) have been used as ceremonial incense for over five thousand years — across Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Middle Eastern, and Christian liturgical traditions. Together they form one of the most ancient and continuously-used incense pairings in human practice.
How to use
Place the incense stick in a heat-safe holder. Light the tip and let it catch flame for a few seconds. Gently blow out the flame so the stick smoulders and releases fragrant smoke.
Care & safety
Light incense in a well-ventilated space. Place in a heat-safe burner with sand or stone insulation to catch ash. Never leave burning incense unattended. Keep away from curtains, paper, pets, and children.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep sealed if possible to preserve the aromatic oils.
