- Made with respect for the labour of rose distillation
Ingredients
- Distilled rose hydrosol (Rosa damascena)
Tradition
Rose has been used in European, Persian, Indian, and Middle Eastern tradition for thousands of years — as a culinary ingredient (Turkish delight, lokum, rose syrup), as a skin toner and beauty elixir, and as a sacred and aromatic flower in many spiritual traditions. It takes thousands of pounds of rose petals to make a single ounce of essential oil — rose water captures the lighter aromatic compounds released in the same process.
How to use
Use as a skin toner after washing your face. Add a few tablespoons to a bath. Use a splash as a light cologne. Mix into cosmetics. Add to natural baking and confectionery (Turkish delight, rose lassi, rose-scented sweets).
