Green Peppercorns

  • A flowering vine that produces berries that hang off of the plant in drupes. Berries start out green and eventually ripen to red. Green peppercorns are picked unripe and freeze-dried to preserve the colour and flavour.
  • Green peppercorns, in addition to being a culinary treat, are considered high in iron, vitamin K, and antioxidants, and may have health benefits such as aiding in digestion and potential anticancer properties.

Suggested Use: Green peppercorns are pungent, fresh, and slightly less spicy than black peppercorns. They are popular in French, Thai, and Western European cuisines.
Storage: Store in a sealed container in a cool, dark, dry place.
