About the stone

Apatite is a phosphate mineral that occurs in many colours — the vivid teal-blue is the most prized variety. Found in Madagascar, Brazil, and Mexico among other sources. Interestingly, the same phosphate compound that forms apatite is also the primary mineral in human teeth and bones — making apatite a literal mineral cousin to our skeletal structure.
