About the stone
Aquamarine is a blue variety of beryl — the same mineral family as emerald (green beryl) and morganite (pink beryl). The soft sea-blue colour gives it its name (Latin: aqua marina, sea water). Beryl crystallizes in long hexagonal prisms, sometimes very large; aquamarine can occasionally form into specimens of remarkable size and clarity.
In crystal tradition
In crystal tradition, aquamarine is associated with the throat chakra and is long-valued as a stone of calm communication, gentle courage, and clarity — sometimes called 'the stone of the sea.' Often used as a touchstone for difficult conversations or kept on workspaces to support clear expression.
Each piece is one of a kind. Natural variations in colour, shape, size, and pattern are part of what makes the stone what it is — the photograph shows a representative example, your piece will look slightly different.
